Some customers mention that the shop only accepts cash, which can be inconvenient for those accustomed to card payments. However, many agree that the quality of the food makes it worth any delays. A handful of customers express a desire for additional seating, especially when the shop is bustling, but this is a minor quibble amidst the overall positive experience.
New favourite! Tired of our local chippy's standards falling along with their opening hours, and the other having terrible staff, we ventured to find a better alternative, and oh my days did this place deliver! Prices were lower, but the fish was as fresh and tender as you'd get from a good seaside chippy! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, very happy with the decision and well worth the 4 mile trip!
Best fish cakes around , fish cake and a cone of chips £4.50. Best chippy in Donny by far
I've been going to Frank's for around 40 years, and it's probably the greatest fish and chips shop in Doncaster. Their curry is unique and never tasted any as good anywhere else. Always happy to see you, and you very rarely see the place without a queue which tells you everything you need to know. I'm going to have to go back and try their deep fried battered chip butty, as it sounds amazing. 10/10 for quality, portion size and value.
I've been coming here for fish chips etc for decades! Only go once a month or so but always enjoy the food when I do. Always really good quality, and a nice family who runs it.
Best place in Doncaster for fish and chips. I've been coming here since it opened. Lovely family run business xx
